Timecrimes...

I watched a film called 'Timecrimes' this eve, it's about a man who accidentally time travels and it features the whimpiest man i've ever come across...very worth a watch!...

A wonderous treat for me and you.

Now I have found the best ever use for the wedding dress which I will shortly be acquiring...
The receipe to make this wonderous treat can be found at:

My current obsessions...

1. Father Ted
2. Pervy pervising on other people's blogs
3. Vice magazine's 'Do's and Don'ts' section
4. Snog marry avoid/Hotter than my daughter on iplayer
5. The idea of getting a tortoise as a pet...although they do live for eternity and I'm not sure how comfortable I am with the concept of tortoise companion out-living me
6. Jam and peanut butter
7. Listening to old mix tapes from when I was 14
8. Carrot cake
9. Tea (ongoing, obviously)
10. Getting a new frock to hit the town in, when I get paid...
11. Buying a HUGE 80's wedding dress from a charity shop just to have, and to hold. I tried a wedding dress on in a shop the other day because it was pretty...a bit like one of the elves' dresses in lord of the rings...It cost £250 or something mad though so that was a no goer. But really though I would like a wedding dress just to wear round, like in Friends.
stunner.

'I know what boys like, I know what guys want'

These are my selected 'creme de la creme' from Nylon's 'Street View' book (No.2). There is a definite nod to the film 'The Craft' which I appreciate;  A kind of pseudo-goth 90's grunge affair. AMAZING.

Why I would recommend Hunstanton to anyone

Hunstanton is a seaside town situated in Norfolkshire. It is often called 'Sunny Hunny' by residents and by me. It offers an array of tacky gifts in the many sea-front sounvenir shops and there's also this weird truck/ship that functions like a car on solid ground but transforms in to a boat once in water. Have a good time all the time.

Saying what you really mean with a balloon...

Little Disco

'Little Disco' Performance (2010)

Re-enactment

Last year I did a performance called 'No Pain, No Cobain' in which I attempted to re-enact an imagined sequence of events that lead up to Kurt Cobain's suicide. Since then I have been obsessed with artists who re-create historical or cultural events. I especially like it when the re-enactment is carried out in an unsophisticated and unconvincing way. This is why I like Lali aka. Spartacus Chetwynd...

Hayley Newman and the MKVH Performance

I like this...
Artist Hayley Newman did a 1 1/2 day performance called 'MKVH (Milton Keynes Vertical Horizontal -2006) in which she was driven around the Milton Keynes grid accompanied by a group of volunteers until the coach ran out of diesel. Newman then published a book called MKVH (The Screenplay) which is written in the style of Easy Rider. It is an edited transcript of conversations occuring between participants on the 39 hour trip.

THE GIRLS OF PORN zine

I recently completed my mini-zine THE GIRLS OF PORN. I used 1980's porn playing cards (found in a novelty gift shop, Hunstanton) to draw from and gave names and captions to each femme fatale. I am now going to make a compilation of suggested songs to listen to whilst looking through it. I know Snoop Dog and Dr Dre's 'Next Episode' will be on there...

How to look like The Craft...

'The Craft' has some bitchin' style, and they do wicker spells. It's the best. It's so trashy 90's...dream catchers and plaid and everything you could want! Plus I stumbled across this amazing website whilst looking in to how to become 'The Craft'...it seems I am not the only one this film has influenced.

These amazing people have done halloween dress up and then commemorated their efforts by making a WHOLE website (http://www.lotharslair.com/halloween_97.htm) solely based on that one evening. Superstars!...
